Resident Evil 3 is currently doing this to me. I have to switch the graphics settings every time…
We live in some wild times. For decades we’ve wanted bigger, more powerful machines to run games at insane levels and frame rates but now we’re all vying for powerful handhelds.
I’m amazed at how small things are getting but still retain a ton of power. I’m interested in seeing how Sony and Microsoft handle the handheld market. I feel like they’re going to go the route of the switch and make them so they can only play games developed for their console platform. Not that they won’t be able to be hacked to become great all around devices but in my mind the steam deck will still pull ahead in the upcoming war of the handhelds because of how versatile it is.
The one thing I hope doesn’t happen is a huge crackdown on emulation because of handhelds going mainstream. I spend at least half of my gaming time playing old games on emulators. I don’t want that to go away.
The moment consoles go all digital is the time I will shift to a different experience, I would rather have a "underpowered" steam deck and Decent PC then a overpriced hardware that I need to pay to play online and doesn't have the same performance as a very good PC…
The reason Valve is so successful is because they listen to their customers feedback. So many company's take their customers for granted and kill their product because of it.
Terrible intro not going to lie
Wow so many cool games releasing lately!
Do all my steam games from my pc transfer over to the deck? Like am i able to log into my steam account and download games from my library that are able to be played? Im not talking about streaming them from my pc to my steam deck eaither. Planning to buy the 1tb oled varient if its possible.
Persona looks like a PS3 game to be generous. There's no reason it shouldn't run at 60 fps on Deck.
14:00 Funny how it took this long for a competitor to release a Deck competitor with trackpads, and it is coming not from one of the big players, but a small one. If Valve, after the whole Steam Controller decided to release the Deck with the trackpads, it means the data they have shows that users used them on the controllers, as well as there is a necessity to accomodate a fair number of PC games into a controller form factor. Yet no competitor realizes this. Valve did not axe them to target their very agressive price points for a reason.
Linux is behind because it need update for persona 3
uhm,… it's just a graphics driver update,… Windows also has those >.>
im loving p3re, i still think fes is the best persona game by a long shot, but i def see the appeal of reload and its my second favourite in the series now after fes on the ps2
Microsoft bringing sudo bcoz they want to include Linux inside windows so that maximum servers in the future consider using windows. Steamdeck is good at 8-10w but after that rog ally is best.. I have steamdeck oled and rog ally. I love ally and decided to sell deck
"36 FPS with a smooth frametime"
a sentence found only on a steam deck channel
I've tried children of the sun on next fest and that game was amazing.
Really sad Spec Ops is delisted 🙁
I wonder if mesa24 will make Luigi's mansion playable on yuzo.
Can u play GTA 5 on steam deck

Gotta say I got mixed feelings on the p3 remaster. Besides the missing content. It's kinda nice having a simpler rock paper scissors combat scheme. And no one is talking about how much a pain in the buttocks that certain teleporting mindscape.os.gonna be in 3d when compared to the original. I see more "game balance" toward the pain in the @$$ side than quality of life side.
Persona 3 Reload had a shaders compatibility problem in Proton which was the bottleneck so actually it turned out that it was Linux compatibility problem and not new drivers. With Proton Experimental Hot Fix runs 60 fps nearly everywhere.
Great update! I'm new to the channel and find your updates very helpful and informative.
