  The first version of the logo is clearly a sapling being planted an nurtured, the second version of the logo is it being spanked and is threatening. This is another example of why the GNOME, particularly the GNOME developers, are messed up.

• What about changing the Gnome logo as there is people with foot fetish? 😂

  Seriously, what's wrong with some people? How is race and age has anything to do with this?! These people see race everywhere and call others racist!
  Some weirdos saw something they wanted to see in normal logo, the immediate reaction is "wHite mAn iS eViL"!

• There was a rather simple fix to that, they just had to put both hands closer to the sapling, almost touching each other.

• The internet has some interesting people with interesting thoughts. Still, GNOME took the high road and updated the logo to avoid further comments.

• I have had the distinct displeasure of having seen goatse, and I wouldn't have made the connection until someone pointed it out.

  On a more serious(?) note, once I saw the logo I did see the similarity. And I don't see anything wrong with that, it's funny. Calling it drama and making an entire video rant on it… You should touch some grass mate, no offense.

• tldr: manchildren proud of having seen a naughty picture on the internet are so annoying about it the Gnome people roll their eyes and change the logo just to shut them up for once.

• Honestly, the second you showed the old logo, I knew exactly what this is about. Granted, the video already gave me some context, but I can see how you would see it.

  But opening an issue for that is stupid. It's something look at, chuckle a little, them move on with your life.

  I do like the one-handed version better though. I think the idea of shielding the plant comes around better when it's directional

• I do landscaping so I touch grass for a living. Every day I touch grass. Grass in face, my hair, my eyes, my shoes, my shirt, my gloves, my bed. Every inch covered in grass. Also I use arch btw.

• Honestly when I 1st saw the logo (on this very vid) I thought it was gonna something about gnome being pretencios (someone tell me how to spell that, spelling options didn't list it) or something. Figured it would be something to do with the hand existing at all, I mean what is gnome actually shielding them from? If the hand had been holding a watering can then yeah, would seemed about right.
