  • Nothing written by Chris Rufo should ever be taken seriously. He's a liar and well known in Washington state for misinformation.

  • For such a time as this you are here 😇
Pray for the board members to know the truth!

  • Black Mirror had an episode about this : "Be right Back" series 2 episode 1 and most of these episodes don't end that well for humankind 😉

  • As long as people in government and institutions arent held accountable for their actions, automatic CSAM scanning is just a farce.

  • Meredith Whitacker was leading challenges in the UK against backdoors in E2E in recent legislation – hardly the actions of an anti-privacy pro-government person.

  • Dude this is hillarious. A person being against fascist propaganda bullshit and pro diversity.

    "Oh no, our free speech"

  • Sooooo Signal got a feminist on the board ?
Oh that's a problem, Feminists are legit pro-censorship terrorists

So here are some signal alternatives:

    > Session
    > GNU Jami
    > DeltaChat
    > Matrix
    > XMPP

  • That is very bad news for signal. She is a glorified criminal / Terrst.

  • I have some technical and not-so-technical issues with Signal. They refuse to stop collecting users' phone numbers despite having implemented usernames now, quoting some "spam fighting" nonsense as a reason. They promote non-free platforms, i.e. Google's market instead of directly downloading the app from the developer site or FDroid. Their app miserably fails when forced to use Wayland. They ignore the existence of Flathub, they offer only debs for Linux. The servers are run absolutely in-private and non-transparently. Could continue, but to be brief: I use it, but trust it just a little bit more than Viber or WhatsApp. Your info about the carreers of the board members just adds to my concerns.

  • How about XPal?

I always use it as an aleternative to Signal.

  • She called herself a Fascist !!! It's Not about Trump. It's about Control. Sorry, had to edit. Was listening and had to rewind and reading something else.
Yep, I was right it was 2 Years ago, I thought it had to do with their CEO. That was very skeptical when Meredith Whittaker took over. I thought it was to take over to kill the app from what I read, why her, could be wrong of course. In the scheme of things 2 or 3 years for these Totalitarians, that's nothing to wait if they don't believe in Free Speech for such a popular app. Anyone who believes in "managed opinion" wakes up and looks in the mirror and says; "how can I Control More People Today". That is always in the back of their I want more power of people brains. Beware. They maybe appear nice, but they have serious issues or are working for someone else. Can't let the plebs speak freely. There are probably 8,000 14-21 yr. old throughout the world who write code that would be better at this job and are more _open to free speech_ and better suited than this woman.

  • Hopefully the views of the Signal Foundation's BoD don't taint an otherwise spectacular messaging system. A bit worried.

  • I just took a 30 minute nap to this video (no lie), but it was in no way boring. I dreamed about privacy and security. Good show. I plan to rewatch.

  • I do use signal but living in the U.K. I just assume all my communication is monitored and censored. It sucks.

  • thats so disappointing, i like signal, but shes very tied to the evil people : WEF, CFR plus many more, shes a damn agent! so time to look for an alternative, like a Russian one!

  • "serious problem with that word these days" Agreed. It's trying to be weaponized as a way to dismiss criticism without having to make a counterargument. It's similar to the overuse of "toxic comments" or "toxic community".
