Jerry Bezencon has announced the availability of the first release candidate for Linux Lite 7.0, an upcoming major update of the project’s Ubuntu-based Linux distribution with Xfce as the preferred desktop. This will be the distribution’s first release based on the long-term supported Ubuntu 24.04. “Linux Lite 7.0 RC1 is now available for testing. The theme of this series is maturity. We’ve been offering Linux Lite for 12 years now and, in that time, have integrated many features as suggested by the community as well as building upon a solid and secure foundation. Linux Lite 7.0 final, code name Galena, will be released on 1st June, 2024. Changes: Thunar 4.18.8 split view; new install slides; many other tweaks and changes; Window theme – Materia; icon theme – Papirus; Font – Roboto Regular. Details: Linux kernel 6.8 (custom kernels also available via our repository for versions 3.13 – 6.8), Chrome 124.0, Thunderbird 115.10.1, LibreOffice 7.6.6.3, VLC: 3.0.20, Gimp: 2.10.36. There is no upgrade to or from RC releases. RC releases are for testing only and it is not recommended to run them as your main or secondary operating system.

Older Hardware as in Graphic Legacy Drivers? I am on the hunt for such Linux OS that will install Legacy since most Distros are pretty modern drivers only and decline to install available legacy proprietary Drivers which I am stuck on Nouveau display Driver which is not a Graphic Driver. Above all else other than legacy drivers is concern on my Laptops Linux is amazing in so many ways.

11:07 Hi my friend. Great video as always. Glad you're getting back to your old self. I have MX Xfce of course on the desktop and it's great. Dolphin does a hell of a job. He really polished it up. I have Spiral Linux Xfce on the laptop. At the end of last year I said screw it and dumped arch based to much hassle. I also stopped distro hopping. So glad I made the changes. Imo Google Chrome sucks. To much blote and resource hungry. I use Firefox and bing surch engine. Mostly getting away from Google and there crap. I have the flatpak Geforce now. Hope you're getting well hugs
Google Chrome is derived from webkit which was derived from khtml therefore Konquerer is the greatest web browser by that logic.

Hi Broken Ebeez is there a way of getting NOW TV to work on Linux. Because I've come finally come home back to Linux I've fed up with that wind blows 11 it's just a total not a mess. It's really slick Linux mint Wind Blows at the moment can't get anywhere near it
