Thank you once again for the oppurtunity Elikliv!
Hi there, I was thinking that the mosfets not showing any pulses could be like what GPU's do. during low power states not all mosfets are active and become active when needed. Maybe check the mosfets with your oscilloscope when running cinebench or something like that. Could be CPU related e.g. how much wattage the cpu draws. Try running a R5 3600 and see if all your phases are active. Just a thought. Nice fix! Cheers!
I think if you had checked across the coil with an ESR meter it would have shown up straight away. Nice, another board saved from landfill.
Loved the video..Taught me a lot.
Not weird at all, if the top two were short the others will get hot dumping current into the short, or having to supply a higher load, what's complicated about that?
one more great video, thx mate
Check the pulses from main controller to the phase one
Did you check the signal from main controller to 2nd controller/driver for that non-working phase? Could be a partially dead main controller as u said. Great video btw, entertaining as always. 👍
I have the same thermal camera and I am looking to replace it with one with higher resolution.
Over time I have learned that if a mosfet is shorted it is better to replace the entire phase and the driver since it is very easy to send 12 volts to the processor and I have a few processors that can confirm that.
On the other hand, if you can't find the shorted component, it's always the one closest to the big plastic connector, just kidding.
Seriously, people should avoid buying these types of motherboards that do not have a heatsink in the phases since they are garbage. Think about how much the cost could be for a large company that already has the capacity to produce them. 3 or 4 dollars maybe? For me it is not reasonable that a large company has these types of practices.

seems like a nice microscope and I am happy to see that this company does not push a reviewer to say what they want you to say … a honest company is for me the number one importance… you got to have trust in the company was a good video thank you and a shout out to ELIKLIV to be honest and give the reviewer the freedom of his own opinion and maybe if ELIKLIV is reading the comments maybe sponsor the Learn Electronics Repair channel
