Digital Terrain Model (DTM) creation
This video shows the results of an eCognition Developer workflow creating a DTM based on a point Cloud representing a DSM (Digital Surface Model). This video nicely shows how to use point cloud layer in the object-based image analysis (OBIA) process to generate a digital terrain model (DTM).We first delineated features that do not belong to the ground from the point cloud. Then in a next step we removed the data points of these objects and refilled them based on the surrounding elevation information.
