I had this issue because i got scammed
I thought i bought a 1050 ti when it was a bad GF106
If it just never works, it's probably because it was never meant to.
This is just for anybody who didn't realize it for a while, like me.
tried this on cmd and it said access is denied
don't find my graphic card
Tried everything I could find on the internet and nothing helped. In short, the only thing that helped was Resetting my Laptop.
Here is a more extended explanation, maybe it'll be useful for someone:
The problem was that my Laptop (Asus Rog Stix 15G) suddenly couldn't see my discrete GPU (RTX 3060). When I was trying to launch the Nvidia Control Panel, it said, "No Nvidia GPU is located in your system". In Device Manager, the graphic card was nowhere to be found. When I pressed View>Hidden Devices – it would show me my GPU in the display section but it was grayed out. When I clicked on it to check its status it said that the device wasn't connected (Error 45).
1. I tried to delete all Nvidia apps (like it's said in the video), then downloaded the Nvidia GeForce driver installer and it couldn't find the GPU too, so I couldn't even install the drivers.
2. Then I tried to use the Display Driver Uninstaller tool aka DDU (as recommended in the video) to be sure that I deleted everything. I deleted all Nvidia drivers and files via DDU and then it restarted my PC.
Now some unknown Microsoft driver was visible in the device manager. I tried to install GeForce again and now it could see my GPU and even installed all the drivers. But sadly, when it got to the express installation it would show the "express installation" again and again. Thus, even though GeForce could be opened, the drivers couldn't really be installed. When I tried to launch Nvidia Control Panel it said that "the driver doesn't work properly" and couldn't run the app. Then I checked the status of the device in the Device Manager again and it said "The driver isn't working properly. (Error 43).
At this point, I've given up and tried the last thing which is resetting my PC. And now it works fine, at least for now… I hope it'll work normally…
I would like to know wtf it was since I won't reset my PC again and again if this problem persists… But alas, I can't even fathom what it was
1660Ti Asus laptop here. What eventually worked for me was a combination of uninstalling the graphics driver and loading into the BIOS on startup. I didn't change any BIOS settings, I just opened the advanced options and restarted. I think I did this twice and then, magically, it came up with the Nvidia control panel and the card was detected again. No idea how it happened or why that fix worked for me but there you go.
This video dosen't help anyone that can help me?
Just want to say thanks it worked
the command prompt fix worked actually man THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!
Thank you so much,i had an rtx 4060 and i was scared i broke it.
If you have then firstly put your laptop on charge

Asus z97 + gtx 1060 :
– disable EPU switch on mainboard (powersaving)
– set primary display to pcie in bios
– boot
– show hidden devices in device manager (2 entries)
– run windows update to load nvidia driver (confirm nvidia policy)
Have fun ! (what a nightmare)
My game is really zoomed in what do I do
I can't see my nvidia graphics card in device manager what should I do
FIX 2 worked for me, thank you!
If everyone encountered this and none of the software-related troubleshooting worked, try reseating your GPU (physically). This was recommended by my friend and worked.
Keep in mind if you're a beginner, there's a press-pin similar to a RAM slot when removing. Don't just yank it out (almost learned the hard way)
Edit: This could also mean that your GPU is defective, or even your laptop as a whole. Make sure to contact your retailer for more information on your warranty. My GPU was faulty, had it replaced.
If the other tricks r not working do the 3rd step and search updates and update ur pc and restart
I LOVE U
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NEW LENOVO GAMING LAPTOPS WITH RTX 3000/4000 : GO INTO BIOS AND CHECK THE BOX WHERE IT SAYS THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO CHANGE BETWEEN GPUS, IT''S A NEW BIOS AND THOSE 2 BOXES SHOULD BE IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER. THEN GO BACK AND REINSTALL DRIVERS, IT WILL WORK.
what if your graphics card isnt showing up in the display adapters at all
Fix 1: is completely stupid because the premise is that the graphics card is not detected, meaning it won't show up on device manager.
Thank you so much Master, very Helpfull video
Mine is showing on the device manager with an error sign but still won't work.
THANK YOU SO MUCH BRO THE 3RD STEP COMMAND FIXED IT. REALLY THANK U 🙏💯😍
Yo idk if this would help u guys but i use a 1660 super on an asus motherboard. And if u cant see dGPU config on BIOS go to advanced then advancesystem agent then go to graphics config then set primary display to PCIE 🙂

Bro you are life saver
I found the solution so simply, go to any browser and download geforce experience, just make an account or login and update ur drivers from that, should help
My pc blow up
nope says no compatible card found although 3 different busses are showing up in my device manage MC_I BUS 1 etc
Something to add to Fix 4. A Fix 4A if you will.
Restart your computer
Enter BIOS as described
Exit BIOS. Your computer will restart
Thats it. The issue should be resolved (In my experience anyway. This issue has happened to me four times now)
thank you so much from EGYPT ❤❤❤❤
Hi i have some issues my coputer can find my gpu, i already tested your method but it's not working. Im on win11
I tried option 3. After typing correct command I got this message.. The boot configuration data store could not be opened. Access is denied.
Option 1 and 2 is impossible if card not detected. I don t even know what kind Nvidia card I have ..
My nvidia geforce 1030 gt didnt get detected by windows but it appears in ny bios. Heres how i fixed it.
Try restarting in bios mode and turn secure mode OFF. Then boot in legacy(csm). After it won't let you on your computer boot in bios again after switching back to euif mode Then try running device manager again. I did this and tadaaaa
secondry gpu isnt showing for me pls help!!!!
bro thank you sooo muche you save my live
thank you very muchh
Saya tidak tahu apakah ini membantu atau tidak. Tapi pada kasus saya driver tidak muncul pada device manager, lalu saya mencoba untuk mengganti baterai CMOS pada motherboard dan itu berhasil.

Well, that was bizarre.
I've got a GTX 1660Ti. I had this same issue all of a sudden today. Tried all of these steps (even got told Access is Denied in Command Prompt). After the BIOS option didn't work for me (there was no Chipset > dGPU configuration listed) I had pretty much given up, when that floating window advising me to install the Nvidia Control Panel through the Microsoft Store appeared. So I did just that, opened the control panel, and low & behold there was my 1660 listed. It has re-appeared in Device Manager too.
That wasn't an enjoyable experience. Hopefully it never happens again 😅
the driver is not supported on this os version (10.0.19045)
