Microsoft’s Copilot allows us to leverage the power of Artificial Intelligence to be more productive. However, you must configure it according to your needs to make it work perfectly. In this post, we will see how to change Location, Display Language, and Search Result Language in Copilot.

You must update your Windows computer first. Once done, go to the respective guides to learn how to configure the Copilot app.

Change Location and Country/Region in Copilot

By entering your city and state or postal code information in the Copilot settings, Copilot will confidently leverage your location to provide you with more relevant search results.

So, to change the location, you need to follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Open the Copilot app on your computer.
2. Then, sign into your account.
3. Now, click on the profile picture and select Settings.
4. From the displayed list, you need to click on Location.
5. In the Location field, you need to enter the city, address, or zip code.
6. Once done, you are good to click on Save, and then the Copilot app will process changes.

That is how you can change the location in Copilot.

Your country/region might not change by changing your location, so, we might have to change it manually. Do keep in mind that changing your country/region can alter the display language, but hereinafter, we will see how to change it.

1. Open Copilot.
2. Then sign in to your account.
3. Click on the Profile icon and then click on Settings.
4. You then have to click on Country/Region.
5. You can then select a country or region from the list, click on Current country/region so that Copilot will use the GPS to find your present coordinates, or click on See more countries/regions if the region you want to select is not there.
6. Finally, click on Save.

Change Display Language and Search Result Language in Copilot

The display language is the language used for the Copilot user interface. You can change the Copilot UI display language to any supported language whenever you want. It responses will automatically be in the same language (if supported) that you used to chat with Copilot. To change the Display and Search Result Language in Copilot, you need to follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Open Copilot.
2. Sign into your account.
3. Now, click on the profile icon and select Settings.
4. Then, click on Language.
5. You can now, select a display language of your choice or click on See more language if your preferred language is not on the list.
6. Then, select a language that will be your display language.
7. To select the language for results, either choose I prefer results in English or I prefer results in these languages from the Search result language option.
8. If you click on “I prefer results in these languages”, you can select a language of your choice.
9. Finally, click on Save.

This will do the job for you.

How do I change the language on Copilot?

To change Copilot’s language, click on Profile > Settings > Language and then select the language of your choice. From the same Settings panel, you can also select a different search result language from your display language.

Yes, Copilot supports many languages other than English, such as Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Korean, Norwegian (Bokmal), Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and more. So, you can select your preferred language from Settings and start using the AI chatbot in your own language.
