• You are really a TEACHER of SAMBA sharing. 3 weeks now, I am trying with samba sharing to guest login from a W10 and a Ubuntu 15.10 to a samba sharing on a Ubuntu 22.10. So, scenario is: Ubuntu 22.04 samba sharing folder , W10 or Ubuntu 15.10 guest/anonymous login to Ubuntu 22.04 folder, with no luck. Thanks.

• Isn't it insecure to store the samba password in plaintext in the example file creds.txt? Is it possible to pass the username only, and force password entry on access, perhaps, or otherwise to encrypt the password or use an identity file?
