  • does both computers need to be in same network? i am unable to connect different network connections

  • What a dog turd system Linux is…. so sad that RDP is so broken in Ubuntu 21.10.

• Hi, i recently changed from windows to ubuntu 21.10 but im not able to enable both screen sharing and media sharing options despite enabling the sharing options. If you help me out then i would be really grateful man. Thanks in advance.

  • I don't get it. It says VNC costs money? NOT FREE…only trial is free. No good to me.

  • I attempted to do this for several hours over a couple evenings – the image quality high and scaling 100% got it working! Thank you!

  • It is not RDP is just a VNC screen share.. so try to login there +;c) Lost time with this..

  • Sweet lord thank you. All the other videos were trash. This one saved the dau.

  • Thank you for the video. I've done this and it works…..once. Meaning, when I disconnect and come back later to connect again, I get "Authentication failed, trying to reconnect…" I need to go back to the host machine, disable sharing, and re-enable sharing. Lather Rinse Repeat. It's very frustrating since its a Raspberry Pi connected to my main TV, and it's not always available, hence why I want VNC access.
Any idea what could be happening?

  • Perfect. I spent a day trying to setup AnyDesk etc with commandline…no success. Then found this, and works. It did say my port number is not correct, but removing that VCN part from the address worked. Thank you so much.

  • Through on this configuration on my VNC client I just can see the primary display on my server. Do I need to do something else for be able to see the secondary display?

  • Does this work on virtual machines? I have a PopOs VM and would like to connect to it through vnc, tried everything.

  • Hi can someone help me? I can't see the "share screen" option, and my gf got this issue too. The only option displayed on "sharing" is "media sharing" (active). Also i already installed vino btw, but seems like there is no option even after a "sudo apt update" and reboot system. So if someone that got the same issue solved and can help, would be great 🙂

  • I see a black screen when using VNC into a headless machine. Would the high and 100% settings resolve that as well?

  • Thank you. I could not find remote desktop until I saw this video
