  • Thank you for covering all of this. Helps me see how I can use Linux and not be intimidated. Because I know that it just takes time to become accustomed to how Linux works.

  • eh. kubuntu is pretty much as fast as the regular ubuntu, i wouldn't say it's faster unless it runs on low end hardware, then maybe it is but on my high end pc, there is virtually no performance difference.

  • why the hate on ubuntu vs kubuntu its basically ubuntu with a different desktop enviroment on top. you could litterally install kde on ubuntu and have kde. or any other DE or window manager.

  • Great video but one small correction….standard Ubuntu (gnome) has 5 years of support but the flavors (Kubuntu, Xubuntu, etc) have 3.

  • Kubuntu is sometimes sluggish on my old laptop. I prefer Xubuntu, it's much lighter and smoother.

  • thanks, just installed Kubuntu on a 2011 macbook pro. great distro but can not access my wireless networks

  • Why not just install base Ubuntu and the KDE Plasma desktop environment?

  • i want to know that is the audio can be match same as windows audio quality?

  • Can't ditch Ubuntu for anything that resembles the most popular desktop gui style (Windows), I always end up trying to modify and use KDE like if it was Gnome, and that's wrong.

  • I'm a long time Kubuntu user but I'm watching this on KDE Neon.

  • I just upgraded Mint to the latest version. I saw another Distro The Ubuntu Pack. What do you think of that one?

  • I am an ex-Windows user. I was using Windows 7 and 8 and changed to Linux 2 years ago and have been using ever since. I have used Gnome and while you can get a Windows style start menu with Arc menu. I would not introduce it to new users coming over from Windows trying Linux for the first time. For a new user I think the Cinnamon or Mate desktop is a better one to start with. Both are Gnome based but have the traditional layout that Windows users are used to with the taskbar and start menu. KDE is also a very good option as it has many ways to customise. I have got Debian 12 which has KDE and I love it. It's the same version as Kubuntu but I don't care as I like Plasma 5.27. I don't think Plasma 6 is stable yet which is why Kubuntu is still using 5.27.

  • Kingdom of snaps
    Rebuplic of flatpaks
    Commonwealth state of deb packages
    😂bro😂

  • Would you consider a video on the new Serpent OS distro. Seems like they are doing some really interesting things. Not ready for a review as it's a pre-alpha iso but already some interesting things within it like it's new package manager moss.

  • Sir how is exodia os i want to try this for my low end pc whitch is with only 2gb of ram

  • I'm just concerned that it doesn't have the latest KDE Plasma 6.1. Thanks for explaining about it LT.

  • KDE Plasma Is My Favorite DE and my channel name also inspired by Kool Desktop

  • Well done LT. Just what I was looking for. Keep up the great work. Have a great day.
