Siemens Profibus AS-i Gateway Node ID & IP Address configuration
The DP/AS-i LINK Advanced is a PROFIBUS DPV1 slave (acc. to EN 50 170) and a AS Interface master (acc. to AS Interface specification V3.0 of EN 50 295) and enables transparent data access to AS Interfaces from PROFIBUS DP. PROFIBUS DP masters can exchange I/O data cyclically with the subordinated AS Interface slaves, and DP masters with non-cyclic services can additionally execute AS-i master calls (parameters, diagnostics). In addition to digital I/O data, analog data are now also stored in the cyclic I/O area of a S7-300 or S7-400 CPU at high speed, so that no separate callup of communication blocks is necessary anymore. The DP/AS-i LINK Advanced is thus ideally suited for distributed designs and for the connection of subordinated AS Interface networks.
