• Unix is very much alive..linux design is unix copy..

• Definitely some misleading info here; UNIX wasn't open source.

• Correct me if i'm wrong, but Unix was never open source. It was also expensive

• "A brief overview of UNIX" would be a better title.

• So what is UNIX really?

  An implementation?
  A trademark?
  A specification?
  An API?
