Why do videos have to be so complicated? This is a simple instructional video on how to change your IP address.

How to change your IP address instructions:

1. Ensure that your computer is directly connected to your modem (Your LAN cable must be connected into the computer and then directly into your modem that you received from your provider).

2. Find out your IP address by going to GOOGLE and typing in… What is my IP address …and google will provide that for you. Write it down for a comparison to make sure your IP has changed.

3. Click on the Start menu and in the search bar type in… cmd …which opens up your command prompt box.

4. Then type… ipconfig /release …and then press ENTER and close the command prompt box.

5. Open your Network and Sharing Centre and on the left side there should be a link which is called change adaptor settings.

6. Right click your Local area Connection and Disable it.

7. Turn off your modem and unplug your modem for 15-30seconds.

8. Turn on your modem and right click your Local area connection and Enable it. Wait until a connection is made.

9. Then go to GOOGLE and again type in… What is my IP address … to see if this has worked.
