An Introduction to Cinder and OpenStack Storage Design

Abstract: “The guys who the started the Cinder project will walk through the various types of storage in OpenStack and then move to a focus on block storage. The architecture, reference implementation, drivers, testing and development cycle will be discussed. A focus on exposing and using volume types is explored throughout the talk. We will also discuss the design features added in Juno and what to expect from Kilo. An demo (possibly live) will show how to configure multiple cinder backends with various volume types will be given.
