Are you READY to apply for Cyber Security jobs? // The REAL Answer

How do you know if you are ready to apply for Cyber Security jobs?

Out of the millions of professionals I mentor who are just like you, one of the areas of uncertainty that people have is “when are they ready to apply for cybersecurity jobs.” This is incredibly confusing for people who are either just starting their journey or have relatively little experience in the career field. Understandably some of the confusion is a result of existing professionals’ unwillingness to formally accept a standard learning path, at least publicly, even though there is a very distinct journey that we all travel.

Join me in this video as we walk through things that you will need to prepare for a career in cyber security and how to determine if you are ultimately ready for this new adventure. Following this advice will help you position yourself for a successful and rewarding career in cyber security.

  • You mentioned Security+ and CISSP certifications in the same breath, are they comparable in scope and content?

  • Hi Jon, I am currently a QA Automation engineer at a consultancy firm, looking into cybersecurity space as its very interesting to me, but I feel like I will not be good enough.
Please let me know what should I do so that I can transfer my current skills like bug hunting, coding etc into cybersecurity?
Would really like your input on my situation 🙏
