Assemble Red Hat Enterprise Linux with the Image Builder Service
Defining and assembling standard OS templates (aka “gold images”) for the various hybrid cloud environments requires a tremendous amount of knowledge and effort.
The ideal solution to these challenges is tooling that can assemble an OS in an automated, consistent, and optimized way.
See how the Red Hat Enterprise Linux image builder tool saves you time and complexity when deploying optimized systems at scale.

I've created a virtual machine based on vmdk rhel9. On startup, it asks for a login and password. What is the standard password and login?
We are looking at providing RH 8 laptops to certain users. Once we have the initial install correct and such, how would we utilize Image Builder to create an iso from the actual hardware?
I have been trying to make an Image for bare metal. Everything seems to be working right except partitioning. I have tried the red hat web console as well as image builder on my local machine. When I do it on my local machine it shows the build size correct if you include the partitioning. Ex. Size 28 GB. The image itself is only like 6 GB. I have tried everything but have yet to be able to make an image with any partitioning.
Created Image with all the defaults, downloaded vmdk file. Trying to create VM in VMware Fusion. But getting struck at following. Any pointers are highly appreciated.

You might want to save "/run/initramfs/rdsosreport.txt" to a USB stick or /boot after Mounting them and attach it to a bug report.

so i need to master image builder, podman, buildah and spokeo, any others, can I do ubi with image builder, i assume yes
I’m loving the image builder service – it takes a lot of the tweaking Lorax/composer out of the picture.
One question, though – is there a roadmap for future features listed on red hat’s site anywhere? There are quite a few things that for example a kickstart could do that the image composer (SaaS or local) can’t do.
