Jenkins is a great software obviously, acts as a framework for continuous integration, delivery, or deployment. However, one of the most challenges when maintaining Jenkins cluster is capacity management because overtime, the number, and size of jobs increase, which requires more and more resources. In order to run the business efficiently, Jenkins’s infrastructure should be able to handle any demand, and scalability comes into play. Thank to cloud computing, we can bring auto-scaling features into the Jenkins cluster to enhance elasticity, power on serving user’s demand. In this session, we will reveal our solution to make things possible on the OpenStack Cloud Platform by leveraging Jenkins’s monitoring and plugins support feature.
