Beginner Tutorial: 7 Days to Die A17/18 server on CentOS 7 Linux
In this video we walk through how to create a 7 days to die dedicated server in the minimal (server/command line) installation of CentOS 7, a version of Red Hat Linux. You do not need any Linux knowledge for this tutorial, everything is explained from start to finish. This tutorial is the exact same for Alpha 17 and Alpha 18. The only difference you will see in A18 is a few extra settings in serverconfig.xml
REQUIREMENTS:

Recommended system configurations for different size servers:
Minimal server (2048 map size and 1-2 players)
CPU: 1 core with 2 threads minimum
RAM: 2 gigabytes
Storage: 16 GB flash drive acceptable
Small server (2048 – 4096 world size and up to 4 players)
CPU: 2 cores minimum
RAM: 4 gigabytes
Storage: 32 GB flash drive acceptable
Medium server (4096 – 8192 map size and 6 players)
CPU: 4 cores minimum
RAM: 6 gigabytes
Storage: HDD or SSD recommended, avoid USB storage
Large server (8192 – 16384 world size, 8-12 players)
CPU: 4 cores (with HT) acceptable, 8 cores recommended
RAM: 8 gigabytes acceptable, 16 gigs recommended
Storage: HDD acceptable, SSD recommended
