Another swollen laptop battery in my computer repair shop! A common repair with every pc and MacBook that usually happens after 3-4 years. This occurs for many reasons but is mainly due to overheating, which this high tech HP Spectre x360 does plenty of. Battery #technology has come a long way, but this continues to be a problem. I know because I own one myself and had to do this exact repair! Don’t be afraid to try it yourself, but make sure to dispose of the battery properly using your local recycling center!

what causes an battery to turn like that?
@SalemTechsperts sir i have a hp 14s notebook laptop 3.5 years old, it's batter health is 80% good and give me 3.4 hour backup. recently i open it for thermal paste (seeing your video) i notice that my battery is swelling little bit. what should i do now. please 🙏🙏 give me a suggestion
every time i replaced a battery on those specific hp spectere x360s. the bios would never recognize it neither would windows because it never showed a battery indicator. so it would need to be powered on with a charger in. i have used ifixit shop batteries and amazon batteries and hp doesn't make OEM batteries anymore as far as I can tell.
