• UPDATE I posted this on an older thread, so I am reposting here: I live in a tourist town in Northern Maine, we were "invaded" this weekend and the market is the first place everyone hits when they come into town. The market here is a great barometer for what will disappear first when SHTF: I walked through the entire market today, which was packed, and I noted the following items were almost gone or totally gone: Orange juice, breads and buns, coffee, paper products, Mac & Cheese (gone), all cleaning supplies (almost wiped out), all sugars, dog treats, bananas (every one was green, which I read indicate looming supply issues), cooking and specialty oils ($45 for a tin of olive oil that cost $15 a year ago); energy drinks, pasta, and cookies. Surprisingly well stocked items were all meat and cold cut items, eggs ($5+ a dzn), milk and milk bi-products, soft drinks and cereals. Sorry I couldn't get pics, but I am local, and we are a small town, and just about everyone in the market knows me, so I don't want to raise eyebrows.

• As an avid crafter and quilter – I've been shopping Hobby Lobby for decades. They have always put Christmas and fall items out in summer. When my son was in high school he worked at Hobby Lobby. He had to put Christmas decor out in July. That was over 20yrs ago. About 7 or 8 yrs ago they moved it up to early June. At any rate this is nothing new for Hobby Lobby.

• Regarding vaccinations for food stamps, I can't confirm it required for SNAP but some local food banks are requiring children's insurance and vaccination records. I was shocked to hear this troubling news since the food bank I currently volunteer at and the one I previously volunteered at do not require any personal information on children. This is rural Lewis and South Thurston Counties in Washington State.
