What even is Jenkins?
For Jenkins, you can also install it as classic snap package, built by Snapcrafters – people from Ubuntu community building snaps for various applications. Then you can either use built-in workers or install agents via deb, generic zip, docker or k8s.
You didn't address the basic question of what is a Jenkins server.
My question at the end was, What is Jenkins?

jenkins is terrible. Why? What a waste of time.
Don't really need Jenkins yet for my pipeline, but knowledge is power, so cheers.
These detailed tutorials for specific applications are great. Especially for those of us who would rather use LXC on Proxmox than Docker.
Jay, this might be a stupid question, but can you run the agent on the same VM as Jenkins? I thought Jenkins just runs jobs – do you need multiple VMs for that?

Jay, I was just watching the eGPU video that you made a year ago. Very informative. If I may suggest, would be nice to see a new video now with the Lenovo Thinkbook 14+ 2024 (some places call it 14 gen 6+) Intel Core Ultra 7 155h 32GB without dGPU which has a Oculink port that supports hot-plug (they call it TGX) and perform better than Thunderbolt 4. I don't think it is widely available yet. We can order it via Aliexpress. The recommended dock is the OCuP4v2 that comes with re-driver.
