Building Custom Dashboards on IBM Systems Cloud Pak® with Red Hat® OpenShift
Build Custom dashboards using Grafana, Prometheus, R Studio, and IBM Systems Cloud Pak® for Data, all integrated seamlessly on Red Hat® Kubernetes Open Shift Container Platform.
In this Video, We demonstrated building data dashboards. Generally dashboard is an information management tool that visually tracks, analyzes and displays metrics and key data points or key performance indicators to monitor the health of a business or department or specific process
Here in the video, you will see the different kind of dashboards as examples
There is one dashboard which is a genome browser and the visualization is based on circos, ‘A way of visualizing whole genomes in the circos style’, these plot shows a number of layers starting from the outer layer representing color and size distinguished chromosomes moving clockwise from chromosome 1 to 22 then X and Y.Inside the chromosomes ring you can see a line representation of copy number mutation. When we expand more details on the precise copy number and the specific location is revealed
Another example is of the Dashboard that is used for tracking tweets around conferences and events
It’s amazing to see how the scattered information on web can be totally refined and presented on a single screen that help to improve your work function business
In an another example, We showcased an informational dashboard showing the birth location of all players in the 2018 FIFA World Cup
Dashboards are custom built to meet the specific needs of a department and company. Behind the scenes, a dashboard connects to your files, attachments, services and API’s, but on the surface displays all this data in the form of tables, line charts, bar charts and gauges
A data dashboard is the most efficient way to track multiple data sources because it provides a central location for businesses to monitor and analyze performance. Real-time monitoring reduces the hours of analyzing and long line of communication those help in improving businesses.
For this exercise, an instance of IBM Cloud Pak for Data is leveraging Kubernetes Container management Services with infrastructure from Red Hat® OpenShift and IBM Power Systems . This Open shift cluster is built on Red Hat open shift container platform that provides a secure and scalable multi tenant operating system for enterprise class applications . it also provides integrated application run times and libraries.
Todays exercise is co hosted by Gautam Siwach and Brian J Kelly who both work at IBM as Technical Advisors to help clients.
