  • BEEN THERE!!

Take off the key pad and use the key to open it. Replace the 9v battery. While you're there you may as well open up the door and grease up all moving parts.

But first try replacing the battery. It didn't have enough charge left to fully move the part that unlocks the safe.

  • Try turning the handle to the unlock position, as in counter clockwise. Your trying to lock it.

  • I know I’m all late you’ve probably already returned it or opened it, but with these safes you have to put in the combination wait for the green light then turn the handle towards “locking it” then turn towards “opening it”. So combo, green light, turn counter clock, and then clockwise.

  • Probably some jerk changed the combination at the store. Just remove the keypad and use the key.

  • Do you have the skeleton keys that come with?…

  • Your first problem…was buying a safe from Walmart.

  • Turn it off. Than turn it back on. Or just unplug it

  • Use the key and once inside you can take a closer look

  • Someone probably changed it at the store, that sucks.

  • The reset code is most likely a default code like 123456
