If you receive an error message CBS E NEW SERVICING STACK REQUIRED, Error Code 0x800f0823, when you try to install any Cumulative Update, then you need to install the latest Servicing Stack Update (SSU) for your operating system. You may also see a message – This update can not be applied to your computer.
