CentOs 7 with AMD Pro Driver Black Screen Repair Goes Off the Rails but Ends in Success
In this misadventure, I repair CentOs 7 by uninstalling and reinstalling the AMD GPU Pro driver. A small hiccup in the procedure leads to additional work and an additional chance to show how to fix it. Thanks for watching. Don’t forget to subscribe.
Important Notice:
In the video, I use Yast in OpenSuse to update Grub. This is because, in my configuration, OpenSuse controls Grub in my multiboot machine. This will probably not be necessary if CentOs 7 is either the only Linux OS on your system or if it is the one that controls the booting process. That said, you can update Grub in CentOs 7 by running the following command:
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
centos 7
