centos 8 stream virtualbox quick installation and review
I did a quick virtualbox installation of centos 8 stream so I could see how “bleeding edge” it was going to be by looking at some packages I know current values of like kernel, nginx, php-fpm, etc. I have to make a decision soon about a new architecture so will be going through and stress testing centos 8 stream …. I am doing this due to the fiasco of not knowing what redhat’s err ibms roadmap is going to be for existing centos users and IT can’t wait on them to announce it. What I can tell you, I am using later versions on our centos 6 and 7 installations of these files and I think centos 8 stream as a minimal server install will work out just fine … sans some glaring issue like stability which I will be stress testing.
