Choosing the Right Linux Distro
Choosing a Linux distribution can be difficult, especially if you don’t know much about Linux. However, over the past several years I’ve tried almost every Distribution that you can choose. There are some that I have not installed, because it was just more of the same.

i like Parrot OS, light and fast. Ubuntu is kinda boring
Chris Titus Tech LEGEND!!!!
There are a few "right" Linux distros. Anything except Win & Apple & Google is right.
What do you think about Garuda Linux KDE Dr460nized Edition.
I need it more for gaming and editing. Everything else I would do in a VM to not clutter up the system.
By the way, I use Arch
Arch breaking is actually a feature because it's fun to repair it 😀
Funny Enough i allready knew what Linux Distro i wanted to use because it was so Cool.. So i decided to Switch Kali Linux and Remove All Hacking Tools. I purchased a Huge SSD Harddrive for Dualboot and actually im currrntly more of a Linux User and only Using Windows only if i need to Run a Programm that doesnt Support Linux or doesnt work.
I used ubuntu , kali linux , fedora
ubuntu : very stable but after few days speed will be slow
kali linux : unstable you willl face issues
fedora : recently I installed fedora speed is very fast now I will use for few months and update
Is a "Neck Beard" the same as a "Red Neck" ?
Thanks!
I feel like Linux users would shit themselves if they found out that just because they use Linux doesn’t mean other things they use have stopped collecting data on them
there is too much linux distro. people should have just focused on desktop environment. 1 – 3 distro is enough… i belive focused in 1 linux is gonna make linux great
I'm looking to get a middle of the road linux desktop (around 1k) to help with game content development; mostly for testing and for hosting dedicated servers. Do you have a good recommendation? I'm not very familiar with linux but I'm wanting to learn more.
Are Ubuntu and Mint not always behind too being based off Debian? I know they backport new packages but the Kernel itself is behind. Right now I am using a 5.15 kernel in Kubuntu where even Debian itself is on 6.2.
Honestly in my experience for a normal desktop person choose an Ubuntu flavor. Best support both communities and hardware plus and you can use the OS like an appliance not an engineering environment.
I've tried seven different distros in the last month, would have been 9 but two failed to download their isos!
Late to the party for this video but wanted anyway to say thanks.
One little comment, I agree with everything except "if you don't want to learn how it works stay clear of Linux" final comment… This is the very reaso why Linux is only marginally present kn the desktop market. There's people that need to understand the things they use (I am definitely one of them, and I get all the advantages that come with this) but there is also people, actually the majority, that don't need or even don't have the means to understand what they use, they just need to. It would be like saying "if you don't want to understand how an engine work then you should stay clear of any motorized vehicle, which is – fortunately – not the case.
I very much welcome the distributions like Ubuntu or enmven more mint, that just work without the need for understanding why.
If anything, I am strongly convinced that the Linux community should come together and stop issuing thousands of distributions which in the end have limited differences. They do appeal to the nerds, but surely scare away the normal users that after 15 minutes looking into it feel overwhelmed and go back to look for which windows or Mac machine to purchase.
And in addition… If Linux is this good with all this dispersed energy… What would it be capable of doing if all these wonderful talented people worker in the same river instead of spread in thousands of small branches.
Mi utopia is: max 5 distros, for accounting for different needs and levels of stability versus innovation. Also the average person would be able to understand the landscape, and all the talent would be spent coherently.
Is this a video to turn away new linux users? The way you intro is too complex the way you explain is like wizard casting spells.
I found the right one!!! freeBSD! LOL
I use Mate and it works beautifully on a 9-years-old Dell ultrabook.
