U is for Ubuntu (South African). A quality that includes the essential human virtues; compassion and humanity. Ubuntu can best be described as an African Philosophy that places emphasis on “being self through others”. It is the belief in the universal bond of sharing that connects humanity.

This Christmas Advent Journal is a series that will run until the 26th of December. This coincides with a personal project of illustrating words from A to Z, which I have been putting on hold for the longest time. Each illustration is based off of beautiful words that are most of the time untranslatable to a single word in another language.
