Partial Transcript:

For years the only way to renew your Cisco certification was by doing either the same level Cisco exam or try to do an exam that is level above.that means is that if you wanted to re-certify CCNA you could either do a CCNA again or try to do a CCNP exam or CCIE.

I am CCIE and I will show you how I am going about my recertification and why I feel it is a bit of a cheat 😉 compared to the traditional exam only recertification path. I am talking about using continuous education points or CE points.

I will be looking into it from my point of view as a CCIE who needs to re-certify by summer 2023. I will show you where you could find courses or live sessions that have CE points and where you could easily collect some points to help with your recertification. Where to see your current point score and how to submit completed courses to get CE points assigned to you. And at the end of this video I will show you how to gain 40 CE points and learn something new.

So , A few years back there was an announcement from Cisco that you could now use Cisco Continues education point to re-certify. You can still do it the traditional way where you select the Cisco exam on the same level or level above to renew your certification, but now you can also combine a Cisco exam and CE points or just collect enough points to re-certify without taking any Cisco exam.

Now Let’s look at the reCertification Process on the Cisco website. I will post all the links to the website I show here below this video.

  • Hi. I do like your genuine take on failing is part of learning (and success)! I am curious what path you have taken for your CCIE recertification. Is it all Continuing Education (CE) credits? Or have you chosen to take a written exam? Lastly, is your new recertification date Jul 20, 2026? I'm trying to figure out if completing recertification early would impact the next recertification date. Thanks.

  • Hello! At the end of the DevNet training, do you have any proof to earn credits, or just complete the training?

    Congratulations on the channel.
