  • To me complaints about performance are overblown somewhat, much like MSFS when it came out, because it's the sort of game where frame rate doesn't really matter. I would ordinarily be chasing for at least 100fps but while playing I can't say it has even once crossed my mind the frame rate is unacceptable, despite being sat down in the 20s. More frames would be nicer but I would hardly say it's a deal breaker

  • Very nice review, if only I could play this game. My 4080 cant run on more than 15 fps !

  • Unfortunately, the game visually looks kinda bad for my taste. Despite all the hate, I really like the simcity 2013

  • I loved CS1 and I bought CS2 as soon as I could. Sure there are some issues but I'm willing to pay in advance because I'm sure that Colossal Order and Paradox will fix it. If they can keep the support as long as they did for CS1 then I'm willing to wait wail I'm learning the basics in the game.

  • For the numbers part i want to get "lost in the weeds" as gameranx part it

  • What’s missing in the game right now, maybe we will find in future DLCs?

  • ive been playing CS2 with an intel i7 2600 and a 1660ti for a while, with little issues funnily enough since launch, the only thing that gets to me is sometimes the game refuses to let you delete something when it cant calculate a way to remove it neatly

other than that, i would say the launch could of been WAY worse.

  • Cities skylines definitely suffers from what i call paradox syndrome: a good base game is launched, and dlc and mods are there to customize and add stuff people want, which i think is smart but also kinda able to rub up against the community at launch, all of the things the dlc adds are stuff from people when they play

  • Wtf is this abomination of a water shader?
This is a disgrace, an insult to modern day graphics.

  • booo shit pc if can't run 30 fps as a amd threadripper user fine here mine runs 40 until the mega city's an temps sit's at 80-75 so all i say are you 4K when they said drop it to 1080 screen size peeps didn't fuss as much over forza motorsport been so bad

  • This one I'm waiting on the modding community to make better before I buy

  • It's such a shame, but even worse I find their arguments for the bad performance. A target framerate of 30, apparently on the highest systems, which tehn still struggle to reach even that. What the hell are people on regularly sized PCs supposed to do? They cannot possibly expect everyone having some supercomputer at home, who then still starts to tank the framerate?

  • I swear, companies making uncomplete software should be fined somewhere to 2% of their annual income. This is getting stupid and inacceptable. Also, we don't need games with amazing graphics. Most popular games being played today are from at least 10 years ago. People don't care about graphics, only snobs.

  • I have hundreds of hours in the original but deep down I knew this was possible. Yet another dev that releases a half baked game. I'm truly sad, but I'll keep my money until they improve all these issues.

  • Thanks for your impressions! One of the things that jarringly stood out to me immediately was also firetrucks not actually using water…A clear sign this game had no time for polish and optimization (since this animation / feature is already in CS1).

  • I heard about all the issues alot of people were having, but i love this game so much i bought it anyway. It works fine on my machine. Yay for me. Apparently its a hardware configuration issue. Im running an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X w/64GB ram and GTX 3090 on a 32 inch 4k ultra wide. if you have similar specs you will be fine. I did make a few tweaks to settings and cant play at 4k. But the game is very playable, i have no complaints, well worth the money.

  • Sadly they should have waited up on the release, however, I still believe it’ll be a great game in the long run. We need to patiently wait until they polish it up, meanwhile I’ll keep an eye on it while I continue playing CS1

Thanks for the video! Very thoughtful

  • fun to see that 90 pct of what should be in the game is not to be added with dlc later on.
