  • I appreciate the anti-capitalist rants so much, its kinda nice to know that the rest of the world understands how f*cked up the US is.. in terms of fav games youve played, i loved Pacify with psycho from forever ago for whatever reason, shadows of doubt, the long story games (especially the ones from The Quarry devs), honestly just about anything you play!

  • beaing annoying isn't a reason to di*

  • Sorry, last thing. Traders have a soft limit on the number of individual item's they'll stock. It's not how many total items that limits it, it's how many total of the same item. So you had sold Rekt I think 1 lvl6 steel club prior and his inventory had not refreshed yet. You sold him a second one and I'm pretty sure that was his limit of lvl6 steel clubs. So you'll have to either go to a new trader or wait until his inventory refreshes. I want to say it's a new mechanic in 21, but I don't recall whether or not there was that item limit or if it was just by chance there were things certain traders wouldn't buy. But keep that in mind that you can "over-saturate" a trader with a single item if you're not careful.

  • Also you have yet to try the C or X keys while on a vehicle. It'll make your day. I don't think it changes the amount of "event" if you run into a zombie, but it can make for a pretty epic screen shot. It also lets you test out the auto gyro stabilizer of every vehicle. But while I get your take on mods, there are a few QoL (quality of life) mods that I feel are kind of essential now that I've played with them on. Namely like the faster reload one. It may seem cheating, but you have to admit after so long, you dude has to have the muscle memory to reload the pipe guns faster than they do. Just be aware while some mods do add some really cool things, like more guns or more vehicles, they will also have a tendency to also add more items. Normally wouldn't be an issue, but the game already hamstrings you with inventory. So as everyone else has suggested, do another play through of this with mods. Like you really could get like 5 play throughs before it gets stale. There's just getting better QoL in the game, there's going buck s*it crazy and finding the most wacky and wild ones and going until either you or the game breaks, there's Ravenhurst and Darkness Falls which are completely different games as the mods overhaul the default game. You really could get a bit of mileage out of this game. Just keep it fun and mix it up.

You don't need to block in this game because you can interrupt attacks. So you basically have the upper hand if you have a faster attacking weapon with a higher chance of stubble or dismembering. You can literally interrupt their attack with your attack if it's faster. Some times hitting their shins is a valid tactic for this reason. The main "appeal" between the light armor and heavy armor in this game and in most similar games is something I actually learned in PayDay 2. You have tanky heavy armor that can take a lot of hits, but will take you a while to get to places and everyone can hear you coming. You got your minimal builds, which in 7D2D would be like the grass clothes or just clothes in general. That's for super fast, super stealth, don't get hit builds. Light armor is the middle of the road. You can stealth, move fast, and avoid hits, just not as well as minimal armors and you can take hits, just not as well as heavy armor. It's the all around armor for players who want to try to sneak, but don't want to get surprised up the butt if things go south. Not quite a glass cannon, not quite a sandbag, that jack of all trades and master of none armor. It's what I kind of prefer in the game because I like sneaking and you can tell if you've screwed up. The whole room knows you're there if you've screwed up. Minimal armor doesn't hold up well in those situations and heavy armor, you'll never make it to those situations.

Also also, I was wondering how long it was going to take you with all of your wander-lust and distractibility to get to the "polite" places of business. You know the very "polite" places where they'd "give you the shirt off of their backs" so to say. Yeah, that's all in the game. Either run with it or avoid it. I, at least, have never seen factories for them, so no major loot dumps for them. But regardless, Superjam it up.

  • It’s so awesome to be able to either watch an entire episode of 7D or watch an hour in the evening over the course of three days ❤🎉😊

  • Your Wrench benefits massivly from the mods which makes Bonus damage to specific materials, you find all 3 to dismantle, Nighttables as examples for wood, iron/steel you did more than enough, but a wc counts as stone, and btw the wrench is only the "wooden club" in this category 🙂

  • One thing about the trader quests is once you max out a trader you unlock special loot I think.

  • Minecraft and Terraria are two other games with this stack-based inventory system.
I think inventory weight is an instance of games frequently following a mechanic because it's "realistic", under the misunderstanding that realism is inherently valuable. A stack-based system with each item having its own defined stack size makes it much easier to have inventory limits based around hpw useful it is to carry that item around. In a game like this it's especially significant to let you carry vast amounts of building materials without allowing equally vast amounts of healing items or food.

  • I have been watching these episode and I can’t wait to be able to get where I can play it. Definitely looks like a lot of fun

  • You should scrap Nails on sight. They are very easy to craft when needed, but the Iron they scrap into can be used for many other things.

  • It's interesting hearing your perspective on guns in this series. I live in Texas and work at a grocery store where I regularly see people with pistols on their hip. One time someone's kid accidently shot off their parent's gun in the parking lot and the bullet went through their mom and her one year old that she was holding. They survived, but it's wild how people can own guns without being smart enough to handle them safely with children…

  • You should take mushroom spores for 1 reason, they're the easiest crop out there to grow. What does that mean? Other crops you need to have a farm plot to put it in. Spores will basically go on any solid surface. They don't give great food, but they are a component to Steak and Potatoes (meat, potatoes, mushrooms, animal fat) which are pretty hearty meals. Just being able to plant them anywhere and then coming back and seeing them growing without having to build farm plots is nice.

Aside from left mouse click to change the method of how you drive on a vehicle (mouse camera facing or A/D steering) if you hold down right mouse click, you'll drive straight ahead and have the ability to orbit the camera around you. Try that instead of weaving between the lines. 😅

Insym also talking about the "unique" inventory system 7D2D has with stacks and items being the limiting factor over weight….Insym also talking about Minecraft in the same video; another game that has an inventory system based on stacks and individual items over weights………………………………………..<Confused Pikachu face.>

  • Insym talking the evils of capitalism while playing a zombie game is pretty meta. George Romero would be proud. I've loved the series brother and the long format, hope the youtube premium revenue makes the long vids big.

  • I know you don't want to do the trader quests but when you do a certain amount of them then they start unlocking new tier levels of the quests and start moving you towards the different (harder) biomes. The rewards are better as well.

  • I don't know if you've been told but you can use lock picks on ATMs to get cash or you can just beat on them with a pick axe

  • They promise them votes to pass bills that shouldnt really be passed

  • I don’t know if someone has already wrote it or you figured it out by yourself, you can use open hatches as a ladders so zombie can’t use them when you close them.
Maybe it will be useful for a next base.
Also I think 2 hatches on top and bottom of a “doorway” in the end of your first deadly corridor may protect you from jumping zombies coming from behind, because hordes will become bigger and bigger.
Anyway take care of your character and yourself, good hunt and good loot 🙌🍀
