  • "Waves his gun back and forth with his finger on the trigger, dont do that, ever" haha

  • There is difference between a "duffer" and an "old duffer." Especially in British english.

    Old Duffer:
    1. a golf player of low skill.
We joined the other duffers at the course. a weekend duffer.

    2. British : a clumsy or awkward person. He's a lovable old duffer.

Duffer: a dull or incompetent person.

Also, a swindler or seller of cheap merchandise.

I think it's likely he was saying he was an old Duffer as in a weekend golf player.

  • Audrey was playing the role of a smarty pants, sarcastic, very mature for her age girl. She was messing with Columbo on purpose. I found it humorous because this character reminds me of my 2 very intelligent and gifted nieces that were able to graduate from high school 2 years early and start college. Their smart friends were also characters like the girl in this episode. It's cute and funny, but it's also creepy that kids that young are so smart and mature for their age.
I would say stuff like, Alright knock it off, gimme a break, you may be smart, but you still don't know everything. haha It's weird having someone so young talking, thinking, and acting like an adult.

  • Black actor in Etude in black was in a bunch of Eastwood movies and was hilarious in Every Which Way But Loose.
He also did an excellent acting job in an episode of the TV show White Shadow playing a PO'd , at the world and society angry, hate filled, black man.

  • Murder by the Book was the first episode I saw on cable tv in the late 80`s and I was hooked from the beginning. 😁

  • 2:15:50 I admit your explanation of standing and singing the U.S. national anthem at sports games made me cackle — some day, it will have to be explained. The way you have explained many of the phenomena of the seventies, which I remember from my childhood. 2:37:49 Most likely it's supposed to be temporary paint to cover rust, pending a proper refinishing job. Which will never happen in this case.

  • It's an odd and irrelevant thing to notice in Dagger of the Mind, but when the maid brings constable Fatheringham his pint, she mentions that it is cold. Conventional wisdom suggests that Brits tend to prefer — or, at least, serve — their beer at room temperature. Also … I know this episode takes some flak for its hammery and stereotypical characterizations, but I love it exactly for how over-the-top — or on-the-nose — or however you want to say it, it is.

  • Im already on my third watch of your columbo content!! A couple questions… were falk and culp friends? Would you consider including the actors death date/age when you share their stats?? Thank you so much for your smazing content!!

  • Looking forward to the new eps!!! Hope the big move has gone well. Happy Holidays

  • You seriously need the be the official narrator for the Columbo archives!!!! I’m absolutely captivated by your beautiful narration. You made 8 hours thoroughly fly x 🌹❤️ I see a wonderful future for you. I’m going to promote this channel, you are utterly talented.⭐️

  • So in 'A Stitch in Crime', Dr. Edmund Hidemann survives. Dr. Barry Mayfield (Nimoy) does a 2nd surgery that replaces the original valve and stitches; so no murder there. Why is a homicide detective investigating a murder that hasn't happened yet? And Columbo never had evidence that Dr. Mayfield murdered Sharon Martin, other than his own suspicions, so exactly what is crime here? Attempted murder? Okay, but hard to prove. But Columbo's 'Ahah! Gotcha!!' moment in the office at the end really isn't. And the whole thing with slamming the Coffee pot down on Mayfield's desk because he's laughing at him, is really just over compensation by a sore loser. IRL, Falk wouldn't scare anybody. And Nimoy coulda kicked his ass to Sunday any ole day. That was just a silly scene. (but then there are so many silly scenes in Columbo episodes).

  • Wow Edith Head appears in 'Requiem for a falling star'! I only became aware of her after learning that 'Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid' was dedicated to her (it was the last film she worked on). Since then I've been amazed to see how far back the 'Costumes by Edith Head' credits go in movie history. And here she is with her futuristic hair-do 9 years before 'Dead Men…'

  • Thanks for all you uploads of Columbo's season 1 and 2. It's fun watching shows/movies that have great narrators like yourself doing the audio commentaries. I can't wait til the season 3 episodes. We'll get to see Columbo take on Robert Culp and Jack Cassidy again. My favorite one for season 3 is "His Swan Song" with Johnny Cash as the murderer.

  • Another splendid compilation. Thanks and the season's best to you! 🙂

  • As everyone has mentioned, your research is superb. But for me, it's your incredible comic timing/delivery and jokes that keep me coming back. I hope your new house is awesome and I hope you make more videos soon. Thanks for the fun.

  • May I suggest you cover Banacek when you finish with Columbo?
    Love the videos, great job!

  • Never offended by you, Days! Travel costs $$$$. Take it slow and drive to Canada someday.

  • Don't remember if you mentioned it in a previous review but Dabney Coleman played the killer in a 90s episode of Columbo. Murder Of A Rock Star

  • Thank you and merry Christmas for you and your loved ones👍

  • For me, the "gotcha" isn't as important as the suspect's reaction to the "gotcha". It tells Columbo if he hit the target.

  • Further on in this 8 plus hours of serious fun❤ I absolutely LOVE your sarcastic comments. Girl you are the most entertaining EVER. I notice you commenting on the curtains and wallpapers etc. Well welcome to the 70's lol. I grew up with that horrid dizzy causing draperies. I prefer 60's style or art deco myself.

  • You definitely know this business I can barely think of a question you don’t cover 👍

  • I never knew that detective Sergeant Wilson was only in two episodes. If you would ask me, I would have guessed at least a half a dozen. He must have made a really large impression on me.
    Good writing and good acting

  • I thought Anne Baxter was perfect as the actress. Honestly.Anne is always Anne. She is breathy. She played a breathy part in All About Eve one of my fave movies

  • My first time seeing your content. I’m glad I found it! Happy holidays to me! Ive loved Columbo since I was little. I planned to marry him when I grew up. Anyway, 10:10 is Blythe Danner, a great actor and the mother of Gwyneth Paltrow. Fun fact.

  • When Columbo Shows Rage/Anger Occasionally it Not Only Makes Him Human/Grounded it Makes Him GOOD/KIND. He’s Angry Against ABHORRENCE & FOR VICTIMS!

  • The holidays just started for me, so this compilation is perfect to watch over the coming days. Thanks for the upload! I can't wait for season three.

  • American Travel Outside USA. Americans Often Criticised for Not Travelling Outside America but it’s Quite an Undertaking for You. As a mid-westerner you’d have to fly half a continent & an ocean & Americans only get two weeks vacation if they’re lucky. You often works two or more jobs to survive – it’s not all rich & beautiful, milk & honey!

  • Hello again Shonna…Yippie…8hrs of Columbo..with extras..!
As always its just incredible how many facts and figures you find us all..just..Wow..this dedication is staggering THANKYOU friend
I can listen to them all day long!…
    So
I'm guessing you're all turned on and settled now in your beautiful new home…

Have a wonderful Happy Christmas and NewYear with all your family and friend's Shonna…take care….
Very best wishes from Bob in Bristol uk xx

  • My mom and dad had a cat that they named Fido because he acted like a dog. That's the only time I've seen that name used for a pet. 😁

  • I just found your channel and I am really enjoying this video – I'm glad it's so long. My mom was always fascinated with the bit players in old movies and tv shows. She always wanted to know more about them.

  • Thanks for all the work you put into making these. I enjoy them immensely.

  • 4:13:07 "things to learn from Colombo"
    1) do not blackmail a murderer
    2) do not make a big fuss about the time if Colombo will investigate the murder

  • Theriocide was coined by Piers Beirne in 2014, in “Theriocide: Naming Animal Killing”, in the International Journal for Crime Justice and Social Democracy.

Pretty new. It may or may not make it as a word long term..

  • My 1st Columbo was watching "Any Port in a Storm" with my Granny in about '85, it's still my favourite episode. I look forward to it's review on the channel

  • I really really really really enjoy your channel❤️

  • Absolutely fantastic, after watching the first review compilation, which was fantastic by the way, I've just started the second,. One thing that always strikes me as odd is in the Greenhouse Jungle when Jarvis makes the ransom call to Cathy and she doesn't recognise his voice 🤔 Strange..And what about Ray Milland's wig.. That's a cracker isn't it.. Always learning something new that I'd missed despite having seen them numerous times. All the hard work you put into these is very much appreciated by us Columbo fans.. Seasons Greetings to you and yours.
