Comet .. Mobile planning tool
Our tool is called “Comet mobile planning tool”.
*Comet mobile planning tool aims to get an optimum mobile network that achieved when we get the best coverage with best capacity with the lowest cost for the sites. This target can be real by the analysis of the system, network and techniques that are used in it.
* The best coverage is achieved from the analysis of the wireless system and calculation of the losses and using practical models. The best capacity is achieved from getting the best efficiency of the bandwidth to service a large number for users. In this point, LTE & UMTS are targeting the high data so the capacity and services demand is the main substrate in this generation so we will use two algorithms to make sure from getting the best efficiency. The low cost is the main target for the companies and always what the market search for. This point we add to our tool according to request from our sponsor, it makes a prediction for the market state and get the number of sites after 5 years.
The target customers during the 5 years is determined by the researches of the marketing team according its analysis and a growth factor, our tool deals with this data and calculates the statue after this period.
* The tool receives the basic information about the network and the target of the company (area, target users, planed years) and use the analysis equation and algorithms to get the demand output and appear it as
– plot the coverage area of each site on map and determine its area and radius.
– Distribute the sites on the Open map street and determine its number.
– Excel sheet contains (All information about the network and equipment, and the number of sites and its area coverage.
* “Comet” tool provides the smooth transform from an existing system “UMTS” to the next technology step “LTE” by providing the dimensioning solution for both of them unlike other tools that focus only on a single mobile generation.
* This tool is more than a graduation project it will be a famous tool ahead of the tools that already exist. We made a research for statistic demand for companies in this field and deal with some tools already exist and determine the basic core of our tool.
