Configuring the IP Address of an old OPAL OP5600, using linux commands

This is a short video to show how to set the IP address of the Ethernet port 0 of an old OPAL-RT OP 5600 digital real-time simulation.
You will need a keyboard, screen and mouse(?) connected to the real-time simulator.
You will type your login details, by default the login details are:
login: root
password: redhat
(all in small letters)
Then you will wait until the Redhat Linux-based operating system starts up and the command prompt appears.
Finally, you will define the new IP address by typing the following commands:
ifconfig eth0:1 192.168.1.143 mask 255.255.255.0
The command above uses the IP Address 192.168.1.143 but you can use any valid IP address depending on your local area network configuration.
I hope you find this useful.
