After all the Hype about Fedora lately , I decided today to give it a try and I must say, it's worse than I remembered from the last time. Gnome is absolute garbage in my opinion. I don't understand why people are so excited about that ugly piece of crap. The UI-Design gives me a headache by only looking at the window decorations. Anyway, thank god there's a KDE-Spin . . . NOW it feels like a real computer ! BTW, did I mention I use(d) Arch ? LOL. Keep up the great work Lady and Gentlemen. Greetings from sunny Zurich Switzerland
Fedora gave me problems. The live usb would not start so I switch to compatibility mode. I installed the nvidia drivers and rebooted. Got error related to Nouveau and I now have a broken OS.

Why are you saying Linus Tech Tips with a short I for Linus as if it's said like Linux instead of a long I as in Linus? Have you never seen Peanuts? Charlie Brown? Linus? WTF? LMAO.

thank you for telling your audience that growth is a good thing. we need casual users to enjoy and feel safe on linux ( safe as in if i install this program is it goin to break my computer?) if yes or MAYBE i dont know? than its scarey.. we need that fix more than anything. the second biggest tihng to fix is. if casual user like me wants to play video games oyu know how much of a pain is it to install all the different emulator and layers just to maybe play some video games? we need to simplify and combine things so its not as daunting to causal users who don tknow to instal l12 things to get a game working. make it. .2 things to make the game work at most.

hmmm, elitism again (about very first email).
What if instead of accumulating "smart people", all those already smart people will take care patiently of others to teach them to become "new smart people". so in the end all of people on earth will be "smart people" and can use linux then 🥰.
Just FYI, that was critical irony, because i hate elitism….
And after this, the most of IT guys will hate me, but my experience about "all those smart people in IT"… says only that they are not that smart (at least the majority of those with whom i worked, with exceptions of course).
So maybe stop this elitism bs… Help others! Practice your teaching skills with patience and understanding. Helping others – you are helping yourself to be smart by learning new skills….
25:17 Fedora Silverblue lends more to toolbox/podman than it does to flatpak, although your basic apps will be in a flatpak, those apps like IDE's and the like will need to be ran from a toolbox container. toolbox and the whole container concept for the desktop is pretty interesting.
The Fedora 35 upgrade was smooth for me even through the package manager update ( drop to multiuser.target, upgrade up to releasever=35 ) I expected issues since it's not a supported way to upgrade because of systemd-boot but I had a great experience. I will upgrade 2 more machines this way.
