how to repair windows 10
Every windows users needs to have a restore point or system image back up drive incase crashing point occures.
You made this video for who? Crowdstrike seems to be for Enterprise businesses and not for everyday Windows users.
I was going to comment the same. Do these companies never test updates before releasing
This is what Y2K could have been.
Hospitals affected by this update
Do you have to be in safe mode to acess that file? I dont see a "crowdstrike" file on my pc
Alternatively, you can just boot from a Linux installation disk, mount the Window drive, and delete the offending file.
How can the world's flagship operating system, Microsoft Windows, be so vulnerable to a couple of lines of computer code in a third party application? Surely this is the very epitome of a "successful" hacker attack, though not with malicious intent. Just a couple of lines and Windows turns up its toes! What happened with A.I.? Where was all the clever software to deny this at the lowest machine code level? We know that the rogue update code was somehow incompatible with other parts of Windows, and again, this is exactly what antivirus software is supposed to prevent. Although this event was not motivated maliciously, it has let the cat out of the bag for malicious hackers everywhere, who will be poring over the code in question and its interaction with the operating system that caused it to crash. Imagine these kinds of errors in self-driving cars, in fly-by-wire planes, in high tech medical equipment, in satellite technology. The ramifications from this bug are going to continue for months as the I.T. world wakes up to its fundamental vulnerability.
This event was not "casual"! Asks all the countries that are in EU and NATO and have Russia as a neighbor.
how about just install linux ?
so you are saying downloading a third party security product caused a computer security problem Don't you learn not to do this in elementary school?
So, when you do a security update, why wouldn't a company run a test run on a room full of the different operating systems they protect that are isolated from the internet to make sure there are no problems with the update before sending the update out. Might save a lot of problems.
Clownstrike is full of crap !
I have a mini pc pcgo2 that started bluescreen after 10-15 minutes and it started after a recent windows update
My Win10 still works and never had a problem.
Maybe it still works because I blocked the updates as you suggested 😀
By the way, this Outages is an excellent advertisement for Zorin OS.
The Chinese Trendmicro was better after all.
Malicious hackers could only dream of causing this much havoc.
This is what amalgamation instead of decentralisation looks like
I have an unusual problem…I never have any anti-virus/malware software etc. running. Occasionally (when remember) I run "malwarebytes" which never found anything awry.
I have blocked any/all Win updates for years. Guess what…never EVER have had an issue. Kinda weird huh?!
Why does this name seem so familiar? Are these the dudes responsible for dodgy voting machines?
How many 'organisations' are still using 'out of date/old operating systems'?
I spoke to my local Sainsbury manager this morning, guess what .. 'Windows XP'… 😵💫😮
I'm sure there are many others .. what are your thoughts Brian🤔
That's what you get for using Windows. Windows 11 has a lot of problems though I am not sure if all companies are using 11. Because many won't upgrade and some are still on Windows 10. I use Linux so it does not effect me but I am a bit worried about what will happen if I have to go to the shops. Since their systems may depend on the computers and they probably have Windows. With all the problems that are going on with Windows one would think more people would get the message and switch to Linux by now.
To clarify: CrowdStrike is NOT part of Windows Defender or any other part of Windows, correct? This issue only affects people who are actually CrowdStrike users, yes? I don't use it, and I don't see these files or folders on either of my Win10 systems.
Such naive comments about "digital money". your money went digital long before many of you were born with the introduction of credit & debit cards. banking has to work that way. do you pay cash-money for all of your bills? do you take cash to the landlord, the utilities, your car payment, your insurance? many organizations don't even transact that way anymore, they don't accept cash. they want your account. it also equals "good paper" to them. As best as we can tell, global "Administration" – as they like to call themselves, have been planning CBDC's since at least the 1980's. and remember, there was once a time when people balked at buying stocks like Amazon, ebay and UBER. I was 35 when the internet broke out big, I'm not missing this train. you all can.
Crowdstrike the wnderful people that brought us the russia gate hoax .. yeah these guys should really be trusted
If it's critical use Linux you dummies.
The same company that brought the world Russiagate in 2016, falsely accusing Russia of infiltrating DNC servers, which later proved to be lies. Karma is a b….
No to digital currency
You must be daft to do a third party software download
Until yesterday, hardly anybody knew that Crowdstrike even exists, but today…now-if that is not a brilliant marketing strategy, I don't know what is!🤣
And the backdoor the bad hackers found and used was built into windows spyware by government officials working at Microshaft.
The fix sounds complicated. Needs a qualified computer engineer to do it.
I have always been suspicious of automatic system updates. Where I have the choice I have always avoided that option.
test run
Crowdstrike wasn't in my W10 pro drivers list so I can only assume it's not a W10 problem or it hasn't being on my system to begin with.
Was the Crowdstrike software tested off-line with the Microsoft network? I bet it wasn't. Massive penalty cost on Crowdstrike and MS.
