Modern software development relies on open source technologies. And in the last decade, it became standard, in several domains like IoT, Cloud, AI, and HPC to see innovation happening directly in open source.
In his keynote, Gaël Blondelle will talk about the properties of open source that make it relevant when scalability is an issue, or to foster adoption. But more importantly, we will also cover how open source fosters collaboration: from the relationship between a research lab and its industry partners to international collaborations thanks to this open source legal framework that is well understood worldwide.
We will cover the role of open source foundations, and the positioning of the Eclipse Foundation as the open source foundation of choice in Europe.
And finally, we will see how open source is an opportunity for Europe not only as an enabler for digital sovereignty, but also to disseminate our innovations and values to other regions of the world.
