Deal of the Decade! 1978 Camaro Facebook Marketplace Score! Or is it hot garbage?!?
While doing my regular browsing of Marketplace I came across a very modestly priced 1978 Camaro that was local to me. I’d seen the car before and it looked good so I had a buddy snatch it up for me while I was out of town. Now lets look it over and see just how good (or bad) of a deal it really was! And fix anything we can in order to make it better in the process. If you’d like to own the car as shown in this video it can be yours for $13,500 USD. As always, thanks for watching!

how to repair windows 7
Please stop with the movies vids way to long😢
Please tel me that dog is sitting on a towel! lol I have a 77 black Trans Am with the same style seats that I need to do the same thing to. That looks awfully clean to be a car in a snowy state, not sure what state you’re in. Nice car!
Curious what you paid for it?
I use to love those, I had a few, make it mechanically sound and enjoy it
A buddy of mine did my 57 bel air and my 68 dart. After a day of help, he told me he learned to do seats in a professional school (Sudanville prison) taking a break in the summer for calfire camp. School helps even the forced labor type
Great video mate, I enjoy your stuff.
Someone had spent a bit of money on that car. New engine, new interior, after market aircon, new wiring harness, new radiator with elec fan. Those 2nd gen Camaros have very shallow engine bays, bigger aftermarket air cleaners are always a hassle under a stock hood.
Hot Garbage…. So, how much? lol.
Are you going to do a Mortske Minute on the finer points of measuring stuff with pubic hair?
Nice video, I don't know if I've been living under a rock, but this is my first video. I really like you style. New sub.
Procar has seat brackets to bolt in the seats into factory holes.
Some models had the larger fuel pump, with feed line and return lines. They are close to the frame. But they will supply fuel past 7k.
Looks like a 78 model. Plain models didn’t have the fender vents, Z28 models did.
Usually Z28 models had front and rear sway bars.
But you said the wheel wells are new, so maybe it had some front end damage.
2.73 and 3.08 gears are great in these cars. The 3.73 gears are great at 6500 screaming down the highway, but a daily work 2.7/3.08 gears is great and will run great with enough power.
Take the crap electric fans and get the factory fan shroud and factory mechanical clutch fan and it will run cool at with it being 106 degrees outside all day.
Bad assed looking car man Looks almost like a real Z only way to tell for sure is the steel placard under the hood. I'm on my 4th F-body, just something about these cars I can't stay away from it seems. 1st one was a 94 firebird meager V-6 which threw a rod, then the second was and 86' T/A that was a beater with bondo that I lost control doing donuts on my property, and hit a Texas tall pine. Then I got an 85 roller WS-6 took parts from both the 94 and 86 to build a really nice one. Seats and carpet from both 94 and 85 match up perfectly and the interior trim was used from the 86 since the 85 had that dreaded tan cracked interior. And my drivetrain was robbed from the 86 as well. Got it fixed up and less than a year later I got rear ended while turning into my neighborhood by someone who fell asleep in a 70 MPH zone, and lost that one too. I swore never to get another one after that, 13 years ago. The temptation was too great when I was offered a 97 LT-1 Z28 with lower miles 13 years later for an old Avalanche with high miles I had, and I really think this will be different only because it is a Camaro instead of a Bird. Guess it was just I wasn't supposed to have Pontiacs lol. Never had a Chevy be lost, but every Pontiac was short lived for me.
Just picked up an 80 z/28 from the original owner over the summer. Tried buying one of those garbage acme/classic industries headliner boards like you have, BEYOND TERRIBLE! Luckily I was able to end up having my factory board recovered and they were able to color match it with SEM dye to the original carmine red. If you want that crappy one you have to stop sagging you need to take it down and use carpet tape. Love the 2nd gen F body content, looking forward to more in the future!
It took me the longest time to figure out that those were dandelions all over the bottom of the car. I thought it was hair.
All that new stuff memes it was crashed.????????
It's a Z28. Its missing the hood, air dam and deflector corners but the steering wheel, spoiler and fender vents are right. Typical fair condition Camaro.
Car payments suck.
