  • I don't care about AAA games… just give me Command and Conquer on my iPhone and you'll have my money!

  • Remember, any game that can run on an Xbox 360 can be ported to modern smartphones. The only reason that we don't have AAA console quality gaming on mobile is because nobody expects it. There is no technical reason whatsoever. It's really weird that games like GTA V haven't been ported to mobile yet. The only thing that's novel about this is that it includes a few modern AAA games. Even AA games on mobile aren't novel anymore (THQ Nordic has a few great mobile ports of games like Wreckfest and SpongeBob BFBB RH).

  • This would perform a lot better with the snapdragon 8 gen 3.The gpu is really powerful there.

  • Mobile phone users don’t want to pay more than 3$ a game… but they spend hundreds in IAP lol. This is gambling in disguise but not a single government has any effective way to control it.

  • It’s not an action packed game, but Civ VI is the best port to iOS I’ve played. As you point out, mobile gaming as is, is way more profitable than AAA games on consoles and PCs so I’m not sure why Apple would subsidize AAA games. Who cares? They are already taking the lions share of gaming industry profit. And to be honest, the typical AAA gamer doesn’t have a lot of disposable income and are notoriously hard to please. If I’m Tim, AAA games wouldn’t be a priority. Continue to improve the hardware, and let gaming studios do what they want. If you want access to a few billion paying customers, put some serious resources behind it and make top tier games better on iOS/Mac. Forget porting, write it for iOS/Mac from the ground up. If that’s too much work for them no worries, Apple is already making all of the money.

  • I would not say that this is sufficient. This is a feature developed by Apple and they really didn't deliver on it. I totally blame Apple for this and not Capcom, because Apple needs to make porting from mac seamless AND need to stronly improve Metal FX and their iphone gpu drivers in general

  • Psssh I play Mario 3d world, Assassin creed, Mario Oddyseey, Star Wars Unleashed, and Smash bros on my s23 ultra and tab s8 all the time. That's why Samsung and androids are superior for gaming like red magic pro and huawei

  • Here at Brazil it is easier for someone to buy a ps5 than an iPhone 15 pro or pro max, taxes and prices are crazy high, and imported products are even worse because of our money value. I paid something around 7K on my 14 pro max 128Gb, the minimum salary here today is around 1.306BRL (269usd)

  • There’s been sooo many AAA games on iPhone for over a decade like the GTA games, Street Fighter, etc

  • Can you try playing on bluestacks? I heard there is cool grandest gaming fest event

  • I hate the mobile game industry's monetization strategies, at this point I mostly just play Duo Lingo and Cytus 2.

  • Stop using big words to sound smart. No one talks like that. Goofy.

  • Apple should really start paying devs to port their games to the Mac, especially now that’s it’s easier than ever. The percentage of Mac users has been creeping up to a surprisingly high degree over the years and Mac would be a killer gaming OS. I’m sorry though, companies shouldn’t waste their time putting new AAA games on iOS lol

  • I believe this is just tests for apple to get into the portable gaming craze going on, with their own device.

  • Still waiting for the next Apple TV to ship with a custom M chip because today I think that’s all the Apple living room is missing

  • remember when all the iSheeps said M1 gonna destroy PC market? & i said it wont even make a dent in PC market?
well same case here. AAA playable apple phones wont be able to do shit about gaming market.

things only changes when android or windows does it.

  • What we need are multiplayer FPS games like Call of Duty.
