• I have no sympathy for Disney. Here we have a company that openly promotes their corruption and pedophilia.

• I was looking at the property cases a few days ago. Amy Mercado had 7 of them consolidated in September 2022. I count 5 more pending suits since then—some under Disney Vacation Development Inc, some Walt Disney Parks and Resorts—though it's possible I miscounted. Yet another battlefield in their decades-long war against the state of Florida, and they have the cheek to claim it's DeSantis picking fights.

• Finally getting around to watching this. What the hell does Medmutt do for a job? That's a lot of freaking money he dropped on memberships.

• I'm surprised they haven't bulldozed the Polynesian for cultural appropriation yet.

• If Universal is assessed the same way as Disney that is called market value. Let's suppose that Disney and Universal and other theme parks are assessed incorrectly, that is also market value. It is market value because the same method was applied the same way.

• Since when can Disney PROVE anything in court, besides how stupid they really are?🤣

  The only thing Disney knows how to handle anything is through LAWSUITS. They seem to have a fetish for those, all in the name of slowing everything down which is only going to delay the inevitable

• there are only 3 approaches to value. the county assessor would use cost and income to value Disney world. The direct sales approach only works where there are lots of comparable sales. In the case of the 7 theme parks, the county assessor would be hard pressed to find significant amount of sales in the past 3 years. So if Disney wants to object to their valuation they would have to prove from an actual appraisal that the county assessor is wrong. it would make for some interesting findings.

• Isn't disagreeing with the tax valuation insurrection or something? Unless the mainstream media have been lying to us…

• It should be easy to asses just use the other parks and scale up for size for developed areas and for other areas the price of undeveloped residential land.

• People are interested in this because these are the front lines in the Culture War.

• When it comes to property evaluation here where I am in Ky, they legitimately try to rob home owners. I had to challenge my own home evaluation that was "determined" DOUBLE it's actual worth. The person determining the value only saw the outside of the house and was NOT a certified appraiser as it isn't required fir some reason. Thankfully, I have my real estate brokers license and knew what my home value is and appealed it down. It took me sending comparable recent sales and them refusing to go by comparable sales and required an appraisal because it was 1 year old and they wanted to use the price from over a year ago when values were higher due to a really hot market. (Athough that bank appraisal was still much lower than their "evaluation") I had another appraisal done and it was actually a bit lower than my estimation based on comparable sales. Then they had the nerve to try to use my former comparable sales price estimation because it was a little bit higher than the new appraisalthat they REQUIRED me to have… I threatened to take it to the state and they agreed to use the appraisal price. 😏

• Has anyone sat down and totaled all of tax valuations of Disney properties versus what Disney claims in their Financials as assets?

• If the sale of the tax deed does not cover the balance of the taxes, does the former owner owe the money the unpaid balance.?
