DragonOS Focal Running a 4G LTE network in minutes (srsLTE, USRP B205, BladeRF)

Short video showing how I used DragonOS Focal, srsLTE, BladeRF micro xA4, and USRP Ettus b205 to quickly setup a 4G LTE basestation.

The BladeRF is used to provide the Evolved Node B (eNodeB or eNB) part in the LTE network while the Ettus b205 acts as the LTE UE modem. As shown in the video, it’s possible to move data back and forth from the gateway to the client or the other way around. This is just the default settings and it’s recommended to read more about srsLTE here,

  • can you make a video on how to setup srslte for cell broadcasting

  • What is the cheapest SDR that can be used with srsLTE, OpenLTE, OpenAirInterface?

  • can be created a bts with ability to make calls like 112 number or enable data with only imei number and not inserted gsm card?
I know it works but i dont know how to build somthing like that for totally free telephony 😉

  • Hi there ! Great video!
Is there anyway of testing the throughput of the system?

  • Can you get regular internet on the connected devices using this? What about using this to boost your phone mobile data internet, by bridging a high speed network with the LTE network, and using an amplifier on the SDR?
    [Theoretically]

Also, if anybody decides to bring up the FCC, i do not live in america.

  • Good man! So glad to see a working, up to date video on this.
Will you be working on burning SIMs and getting a handset subscribed..?

  • Please consider getting a louder mic or turning up your gain. I can barely hear what you are saying!

  • Man…. now I have to buy these SDR`s now -your costing money !!! for research of course…..
