Easy Setup – Install and Configure Pi-hole on Proxmox in a Ubuntu Linux Container – Network Adblock
This video guide covers the easy installation and setup of Pihole on Proxmox inside of a Ubuntu Linux container. Pi-hole is a sinkhole DNS server that can provide tracking and ad blocking for your entire home network. It can be configured to block other things as well.

I had to subscribe. Jokes aside, huge thank you for the work on your channel.🚀🚀🚀
Awesome job dude, thanks!
paahaole!! XD
Have you tried using alpine instead of ubuntu, so that its the smallest install possible ?
Thanks for another incredibly well done and helpful "how-to" video. Your pace and manner make you an excellent teacher for folks like me that are just moving to the Linux world. Thanks to your willingness to share and teach, I now have a Proxmox VE host with Pi-hole up and running with no issues. Thanks again for your efforts, and I look forward to your new videos going forward.
Excellent video (thank you for being patient). My Pi-Hole is running via Proxmox CT and even my pfSense is configured, too! Thank you again!
It looks like my Verizon Fios Router has no option to edit the DNS service to point it to use the pi-hole for the DNS service. Also there is no option to add DNS information in the DHCP Service with this stupid router. Does any one know a work around to point to the pi-hole for the whole network to use, other than replacing this router and manually setting the DNS on each device to point to the pi-hole? Thank You
Amazing guide! Thank you for this!
For pfSense, you should also change your DNS Server under "System > General Setup"
Good night. I would like to thank your video, but one thing that has been calling me attention in my tests is that I can not fix the ipv4 container lxc. Every time I get to the 7:33 point of your video I fixed ipv4, fixed the ipv4 gateway, but the proxmox, simply does not release to complete the configuration. Would you happen to know why?
Thank you.
Honestly your video was made absolutely great, excellent job. 👍
Any reason you didn't use the 22.10 standard ubuntu? (Subbed) thanks!
Good video !
