Elimu Alumni – Debora: Getting access to resources she needed raised her to higher heights!
Today she is an amazing role model for girls and young women. When Deborah discovered Elimu Resource Centre during high school, she found solutions to many of her challenges. The conducive youth-friendly study environment made study time fruitful and enjoyable and provided the opportunity to network with fellow students for peer support and sharing. The educational resources gave her what she needed for her projects and to advance herself. Handling the digital devices exposed her to 21st century skills and encouraged her to set her sights high. After high school graduation, she returned to pursue Cisco Networking Academy courses and built up her digital proficiency. During the pandemic, when her university switched to online learning, she found the solutions she needed at Elimu – a laptop for her personal use and quality internet connection – to keep her going with her studies.
