Elite Dangerous – Episode 3 – Fixing the disconnect

Elite Dangerous, the first steps into the black: Fixing getting disconnected
Take your protein pills and put your helmet on, grab your joystick, and come fly with me!
This is my third Elite video, starting right back at the beginning, with a Sidewinder. The first two videos have suffered from a disconnection from the transaction server. This is where I try to fix it… Wish me luck, commanders. o7

To fix the disconnect error, reduce the MTU size.
Open an elevated command prompt. (RIght click command prompt and select Run as Administrator)
Enter: netsh interface ipv4 show subinterfaces
– to find your interface name.
Then enter: netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface “Your Interface Name” mtu=1450 store=persistent
– Replacing “Your Interface Name” with the correct device, as discovered in step 1.
