• I have dark cabinets and we chose the color Ash Blue from Behr, for the walls, and it looks great together! It’s not too blue, not too gray, it’s just right in the middle.

• Paint the corbels the same blue as your hood range. It would be more cohesive and look more grand and stand out as a whole unit.

• As someone in thr lighting industry I'm happy to see your contractor dud your under cab light right by routing it out to make it recessed and with a lens. You'd be surprised at what I've seen…..dear God. Lol.

• Concerning the paint color of the hood, you should also check with the backsplash stone sample if there's any going up.

• I think having the wall behind the stove finished or at least painted with the wall color (or if you’re tiling the backsplash?) will help with the color choice for the hood and then after the hood is painted you can put the corbels up against it to see what finish you like for them. With the process of renovating it may not be possible to do things in that order but it might help to see how everything comes together.

• i think painting it is a great idea. you love color, especially moody colors so i don't think you will regret painting it at all.

• I know by now to trust the process and that MaCenna's vision always comes together beautifully, but it bugs me that the gorgeous side profiles of those corbels are partially blocked by the cabinets on either side of the hood. Interested to see how the paint and finishing touches will tie it all together. Crazy to see how far it's come and can't wait for more!!

• Definitely chippy corbels. They bring in all the charm of the rest of the home

• Consider uplighting where the cabinets don't meet the ceiling. I adds another level of dimension

• Wish you showed us the sample next to hood color options! I feel like you should be looking at both at the same time in that lighting

• Yes leave the corbels as is. They are beautiful.

• The cabinets near the door & window are TERRIBLE !
  The “ cottage “ is so much nicer than the LA house . Not even close .
