  • Where can the normal human being plead for a distro for normal human beings, meaning no greater of a hassle, than Android? Android would be a total failure, if the terminal and constant password inputting would remain, and not only Google understood this, but Microsoft, and Apple much earlier. The vast majority of people don't have the time, and even the care (to be frank), to wanna become Linux experts, just because fixing simplest problem with their system requires knowledge of the Linux terminal. Even if you do know a bit about the Linux terminal, most likely you'll mess up things even more, and will have to stand weeks of insults from the stuck up Linux community, before you tell yourself, "Screw this crap", and return back to Windows. Do people really have to wait for a polished up enough Android x86, cause within all of this proclaimed Linux freedom, doing something with the damn terminal is an impossible feat? Android proved it isn't. Simply give a crap about what someone else wants.

  • Did Holly Million really accomplish anything other than a 5 year DEI plan, which nobody really needed?

  • Seems like he is big fan of gnome shaman.

  • It's a shame that Linux Gaming channel idea didn't work out. There aren't many I can find on YT, and the few that I have seen don't jive with me on a personal level. I guess the demographic numbers must be abysmally low, but if you know good Linux gaming resources I'm happy to learn of them!

  • The 1 reason I wouldn't remove x11 from GNOME is just that they don't have server side decorations intentionally on wayland, on Plasma is basically not a problem lol

  • I mus say wayland is rasy to use on amd. I always had really bad problems in the past with wayland but I have installed fedora lately firgot that it is on wayland an I had 0 problems. The gaming performance is for some reason even few fps better than xfce with disabled compsitor.

  • Is there any place where i can see current Wayland progress? Whay they currently doing?

  • Lets hope the law is passed that only Microsoft and Google have enough money to create AI.

  • Rip Fedora then lmao. Imagine sabotaging your distro by replacing an extremely stable crucial piece of software by an extremely instable one so that nobody can use it anymore

  • Dropping X11: "There will be some incompatibilities" = you'll have to change some software, you'll have to downgrade your workflow or just accept some features do not exist (like keeping track of the the positions of multi-windowed apps on single and multiple screens, so you have to arrange them every single time you start your app) :))

  • Winehq's renderer works like dogshit, I tried running Life is strange just by clicking the .exe, everything worked flawless till you're met with 2 fps gaming.

  • My main concern with Wayland is that last time I tried it, I realized it didn't let Remmina capture keys. Don't know if the problem is with Wayland or Remmina, though, but without that ability I can't properly remote into stuff. I hope things like this gets solved.

  • I hope that doesn't go to court. Because if it does then the same could be applied to humans since we learn in a very similar way.

  • Gnome is oversimplified. Maybe it is a good thing for a grandma, but a nightmare for an experienced users.

  • I agree with your take on the Copilot lawsuit, and I appreciate you being on the right side of this issue.

  • The justice system has little justice, lmao it's no better than the religious systems it was supposed to replace

  • Many smaller distros have already deprecated Xorg way before Fedora has.

  • The background on this video is too distracting 🙁

  • Editing choices are bold and cool, though I do agree that maybe things should be softened to not distract. The "swoop" sound effect when you move things in and out of frame also interferes with your vocal range a little.

  • I don't know if you've already reported on this, but Zed (made by former Atom devs) is now on Linux!

  • Can't for Pop!_OS 24.04 to come out alpha. They mentioned that's when Cosmic alpha will land as well. Gonna install it on my ThinkPad and replace Kubuntu 23.10 in there.
Tuxedo OS and Plasma will still be on my gaming PC.

  • Google might do bad things with Android. But man, Apple likes to make it 10x worse. Such an awful company.

  • Haven't said this before but for once I have zero issues with your sponsors in this video 👍

  • DirectX 8? Whilst they're at it why don't they make native compatibility for Commodore 64 games whilst they're playing the go back in time game.

  • Does anyone know if GNOME/GTK supports variable fonts?

  • @TheLinuxExp please consider accessibility. People with visual challenges (including myself) and neurodivergence are bothered by the distracting animations. Please don’t just dismiss us even though people are laughing about it, it really does bother some people.

  • wonder why no site talks about the wokes treathening some linux distros

  • Is the GNOME director by any chance mentioned in this video the certified shaman?
