How to find an IP Address quickly using hava.io
In the scenario where you need to track down what cloud resource a particular IP address belongs to, you can use Hava’s custom search feature to make the process simple using a single command.
This is irrespective of how many cloud accounts or environments you have connected, As long as they are AWS, Azure or GCP Hava can simultaneously search hundreds or even thousands of cloud accounts with a single command to identify resources using a specific public or private IP
You may be responding to a security alert, or a log entry that is causing concern so you don’t want to waste time or valuable man hours logging into individual cloud consoles to find resources using that IP address.
As well as pinpointing specific IP addresses you can use wildcards in either 4 sections of the IP address to return the required network class, network, subnet or specific device. ie 10.20.1.1 or 10.20.*.*
Using the deep search prefix @ you can also return all the resources connected to the resources that match your search.
In this video we demonstrate a simple IP address search and then the deep search to identify the complete VPC in which the found IP address is configured.
