Fix / Repair CRC Failed / Corrupted file RAR in WinRAR extraction

It is the common issue with ‘RAR extraction’ that the compressed file does not unpack correctly when there is something wrong in the archived file. Most cases, the WinRAR comes with a couple or few couple of error warnings and NOT extracting the files. In this video I used a method which tell the WinRAR to just ignore any errors and extract the files even though they are bad or corrupted.

Many cases this method succeeds but not always ………so try this method too before jumping for a re-download of the file.

I downloaded 4 parts of ‘SANS560v0212.rar’ from internet. They are:-

SANS560v0212.part1.rar
SANS560v0212.part2.rar
SANS560v0212.part3.rar
SANS560v0212.part3.rar

In normal process of extraction, due to CRC fail, the file ‘SANS560v0212.rar’ was not extracted combining the above four parts.

I repeated extraction using this trick. Success…

Now trying to get the file ‘SANS560v0212.iso’, which is inside the earlier extracted file SANS560v0212.rar.

Unfortunately, it is password protected….

Getting the password…

Trying to extract normally with the password…but fails due to CRC error, again.

So, repeated the trick in this case too….success.

Got the file SANS560v0212.iso.
