  However the update was Able to check it self for the LIST Of Available updates, BUT it Return with errors 8024402F
  now just go to Microsoft website https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/windows-update-resources

  and then under the article "How do I reset Windows Update components?"
  click on 2 links that says "This Script" and "This Script", Download that fixes automatically for you

• u know what,i just reformatting my window 7 64bit sp1 , my computer take too long to check update,i got avastfree running on my computer even i disable it still update not work,i decide to uninstall it and after avast successfully removed, my window update working just fine,now i must waiting 1.6gb update now

• You need to update this video. Going to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3200747 doesn't take you to the same site anymore. It is now a different site that isn't very helpful.

• Hi i know this got posted a while ago but ive just got one of my old laptops as my new one has broken.

  This still hasnt worked for me. It is still stuck at checking for updates after following every instruction youve said. I have been sat for 15 minutes waiting for the updates to come through.
